A walking tour gives extra support to vulnerable groups, as part of PCC-backed safety project

Residents who are new to Stockton are being welcomed with an orientation walk, funded through Matt's Protect and Support fund.

Twice-monthly walks help vulnerable groups learn where to access local support services, understand UK laws and find out how to report hate crime.

Participants are also shown how to sign up to Cleveland Connected for updates from Cleveland Police and the OPCC.

Organised through Refugee Futures, the project also includes regular Q&A sessions with Cleveland Police and Living in the UK workshops covering topics including staying safe, scams, parenting, health and local support.
