Thames Valley Police have recently seen an increase in reports of vehicle interference and vehicle break-ins across the area of Two Mile Ash. We are urging residents to take a few simple precautions to help reduce the risk of becoming a victim. How you can protect your vehicle: Always lock your vehicle, even when parked at home.Ensure all windows and sunroofs are fully closed.Never leave valuables on display, including bags, tools, or loose change.Remove keys and ensure keyless fobs are stored away from doors/windows (consider using a signal-blocking pouch).Where possible, park in a well-lit area or in a secure location such as a garage or driveway.Home security matters too: Check your CCTV, doorbell cameras, and alarm systems are working correctly and up to date.Make sure external lighting is functioning, particularly motion-activated lights.Secure access points such as gates and garages.Report suspicious activity: If you see anyone acting suspiciously around vehicles, please report it to Thames Valley Police via 101, or 999 in an emergency. By taking these simple steps, we can work together to keep our community safe. Stay vigilant and thank you for your continued support. |
