Local Priorities Criminal damage

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Criminal damage (e.g. graffiti, arson), which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

There has been some Racist Graffiti in Zetland park and close by bus stop. This will be being removed by the council ASAP! Local schools will be visited to express the seriousness of this and educate youths. Advice for all parents and carers to discuss this with children. Extra patrols will be conducted in this area.

There has also been a report of a individual trying door handles on Park Avenue. Follow ups have bee completed. CCTV checked advice has been given to local residents. Advice to remail vigilant, double check all car and house doors.

John Batty school was attended to talk to children regarding careers and advice about safety. The children got chance to sit in the van and try on all the uniform. We want children to grow up and not be scared of police and this is great way to engage.

This kind of behaviour will not be tolerated and extra patrols will be conducted. Any concerns of any suspicious activity call 999 or 101.
