Brownie Visit |
||
|
Last Friday, 22nd May, your local Safer Neighbourhood Team had the pleasure of visiting a local Brownie group at their meeting. We introduced ourselves, spoke about our roles, and explained the difference between Police Officers and PCSOs. The girls had prepared some great questions for us, which led to some fantastic discussions! They also had the opportunity to try on pieces of uniform, watch a demonstration of how handcuffs work, and finish off with a look inside one of our police vehicles. Engaging with young people in this way is a key part of community policing, helping to build trust, break down barriers, and give a better understanding of what we do. It’s a great opportunity to create positive relationships and inspire confidence in policing from an early age. A big thank you to the Brownie leaders for inviting us – we were even honoured with a Brownie badge!
