Proactive operation at Whitechapel Station

Officers from the Metropolitan Police Service, including teams from Wapping and Shadwell Safer Neighbourhood Teams, were conducting a proactive operation at Whitechapel Station, with uniformed officers on patrol engaging with members of the public using the station.

These types of operations are carried out to disrupt county lines activity and target individuals carrying knives, helping to keep our communities safe.

During this operation, two individuals were arrested:
