Good afternoon all, yesterday evening police held a meeting with the Earls Court Ward Panel committee in relation to issues in Earls Court Ward. This was organised by the ward panel committee chair David ELAVIA with police from the Earls Court Ward Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) & Leanne MAHER the local authority Community Safety Manager. Police went through various initiatives and current reported crime figures within the area. The good news is that reported crime in Earls Court Ward has reduced in the last six months of the financial year 2025/26 by 14%. We are well aware of how accurate figures can be and how they are interpreted but police are encouraged. Of course there is far more work to do especially as we come into the summer months. Issues were raised in reference to sporadic drug use in & around the ward. The NPT are aware of these issues and are working towards shutting down certain addresses and removing individuals from the area. But due to wider operational requirements these actions are protracted. We asked at the meeting that all these incidents seen by residents are reported to police on https://www.met.police.uk/ro/report/asb/asb-v3/report-antisocial-behaviour/ or if there is an immediate threat to person or property please call 999 for an immediate police response. Unfortunately officers from NPT at Earls Court Ward have been abstracted to other duties in Central London over this weekend. This is in light of certain protests and requirements for extra police resources at various sporting events. We will be back on duty in Earls Court Ward on Tuesday the 26th May 2026. It should be a sunny & hot weekend and we wish you all a safe & pleasant bank holiday weekend. |
