Dear Resident, Blythe Crime update from Thursday 14th May – Friday 22nd May. No Burglaries or attempted burglaries have been reported. Theft of Motor vehicle. Between 13/05/26 9.30pm- 14/05/26 5.14am a grey BMW X6 was reported stolen without keys on Leese Drive, Cheswick Geen. Theft from motor vehicle. On the 15/05/26 between 11.30pm – 11.50pm front and rear number plates were reported stolen from McDonalds, Stratford Road Shirley. Robbery. 17/05/26 at 1.17pm on Tanworth Lane just before The Miller and Carter Restaurant. Two unknown offenders in a black VW SUV approached the victim who had stopped by the side of the road to answer his phone. One took his green VOODOO electric bike off him and rode away followed by the black VW SUV. Attempted robbery. 18/05/26 between 6.40pm-6.45pm two unknown offenders on Surron electric bikes tried to take another electric bike off the victim on Cheswick Way, Cheswick Green. 16/05/25 11.50am. A black E Scooter with orange writing on it was stolen from The Virgin Active Gym in Blythe.
Good News. The person who had been entering unlocked vehicles in the early hours of the morning including Hay Lane and all-around Solihull was arrested on the 14/05/26. Operation Sceptre. St. Alphege/Blythe Officers have been conducting weapons sweeps this week at Education establishments and local parks. No weapons were found.

The next Beat Surgery will be at The Blythe Rose Dementia Care Home, Wood View Rise, Solihull B90 8DQ on 4/05/26 from 10am/11am. All welcome to discus security and any issues in the area.
Please note. The thefts of Toyota Hybrids are increasing around the West Midlands area. Please fit a steering lock. A tracking device may help locate the vehicle when fitted. Registration plates have been unscrewed or pulled off vehicles around Solihull. Please replace standard Registration plate screws, fixing pads, with anti-tamper screws fixings available from motor factors or online. Please make sure your sheds, garages side gates are locked. Move your wheelie bins inside your property away from any side gate entry. Please don’t leave your property in darkness, leave a light on. Ongoing patrols are continuing. Thank you to the residents who are helping Police with their investigations. If you see a vehicle in your area that you don’t recognise, parked up, please contact Police on 101 or use the West Midlands Police web site to log it. The location of new vehicle deposition sites are of interest to us. OBERVATIONS. If you see residents leaving their property on an unregistered scrambler moto cross petrol or electric motorbikes please email me or report it anonymously on Crime Stoppers on 0800 555111 as they are riding through local parks and Solihull Town Centre.
Please make sure your vehicles are locked. Solihull are being hit with theft from unlocked vehicles. Ensure that all garden furniture is stored away in a garden shed along with any tools to avoid aiding offenders in committing burglary. Ensure that Wheelie Bins are not stored near to fences and are chained together to prevent them from being used as climbing aids or storing objects in that may aid an offender to commit a crime.
