Dear Resident,
We’re halfway through the quarter and your local neighbourhood team has been tackling the issues you’ve told us matter most in the Central Ward of Peterborough.
These involve combatting drug dealing, anti-social behaviour and violence, as well as identifying opportunities to divert young people away from crime.
Work has included high visibility patrols, numerous stop searches and seizing drugs.
During patrols officers also gathered intelligence, engaged with the public and, on one particular occasion, apprehended a wanted man.
In addition, officers took part in a knife crime awareness workshop with young people, in collaboration with Peterborough United and the Premier League Kicks Project.
I hope this gives you a brief snapshot of some of the work the team has been doing to address the issues that matter to you. You can find out more information on our website.
If you’d like officers to focus on another issue, please look out for details of quarterly priority community meetings. These will be promoted via eCops and also on the Policing Peterborough Facebook page.
Thank you for your support. Kind regards, Tim Goddard Communications officer |
