Dear Resident,
We’re halfway through the quarter and your local neighbourhood team has been tackling the issues you’ve told us matter most in Peterborough city centre.
These involve disrupting repeat anti-social behaviour (ASB) offenders, including on the Embankment, and increasing visibility in the retail sector.
Work includes increased patrols, partnership working, securing Criminal Behaviour Orders with strict stipulations and enforcing other court orders.
The introduction of a dedicated retail crime officer has seen a significant improvement in visibility. This has resulted in an increase in crime reports and detections due to the enhanced level of engagement with businesses.
I hope this gives you a brief snapshot of some of the work the team has been doing to address the issues that matter to you. You can find out more information on our website.
If you’d like officers to focus on another issue, please look out for details of quarterly priority community meetings towards the end of June. These will be promoted via eCops and also on the Policing Peterborough Facebook page.
Thank you for your support. Kind regards,
Tim Goddard Communications officer |
