Good morning everyone, I wanted to introduce myself properly to those who may not know me – I’m PC Dickinson, but please feel free to call me Oli. Some of you may recognise me from my previous role as a PCSO here in Gravesend town centre, and it’s great to be back working in the area in a new capacity.
I wanted to provide a quick update around ongoing concerns in the town. We are aware of issues relating to anti-social behaviour and alcohol consumption, particularly around the bus stop on Barrack Row, which falls under the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO). Yesterday while on patrol:
5 warnings were issued 1 alcohol seizure was made 1 fixed penalty notice was issued This activity has come directly from conversations I’ve had with members of the public while out in the town centre. Your information is making a difference, and I am acting on it. I want to be clear—this won’t be an overnight fix—but the issue is recognised, and we will continue to take action where appropriate. Please continue to speak to me when you see me on patrol, or pass on any concerns. I’m particularly keen to hear about:
Areas where you feel unsafe Ongoing anti-social behaviour Problem locations or repeat issues Anything you think we should be aware of in the town centre Your feedback helps me focus patrols and deal with the issues that matter most to you. Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to speaking with more of you around town. PC Dickinson (Oli) Gravesend Town Centre Beat Officer This account is not monitored 24/7 and is not a platform to report crimes where you are a victim or a crime has occurred. This should be reported on 999 if happening at the time or 101/Kent police website to report any other crimes. Any nuisance/ anti social behaviour behaviour or intel around drug dealing then you can pass to me on this platform.
