||
|
From Philip Virgo as Chair of West Dulwich Safer Neighbourhood Panel and Development Lead for NHW in Lambeth This Alert is based on a briefing given by members of the Policing Team for the Brockwell Together programme to a meeting of West Dulwich SNP on 18th May. It is copied to those in the areas covered by the Herne Hill, Rush Common and St Martins SNPs because most of the iformation is thr same - save for the plans of their local SNTs. to which I have not had access.
This is the link for Information on the Brockwell Live | Summer Festival Series 2026

The event schedule, including sound tests is here BL26 Event Schedule — Brockwell Live
Walking routes and cross path closures are here BL26 Cross Paths — Brockwell Live
Maps and Information covering Road closures, Access and Residents Priority Parking are here BL26 Traffic — Brockwell Live “Roads will be staffed by specialist road marshalls and … we ask residents to display their blue resident information leaflet clearly in the front of their vehicle …. Parking on the highlighted roads will require a valid Lambeth or Southwark permit”. Parking Issues will be the responsibility of the Lambeth Parking Enforcement and APCOA team will be used for enforcement.
Information on how to apply for a Lambeth parking permit is here Residents' parking permit (e-permit) | Lambeth Council .
Local residents who do not have a permit, (e.g. because their street is not in a CPZ) should inform the stewards who have been briefed to admit local residents.
The Community police team for the event is six strong, led by Adam Hall with Hannah Eldridge and Jason Caldinez on duty both week-ends. Emergency contact should be via 999. The operational phone number is 07769 447066 and can be used for contact that does not merit a 999 call or in support of call. Pictures or video sent via WhatsApp can be easier than a verbal description but avoid confrontation and putting yourself at risk if taking photos is likely to provoke.
When reporting be as specific as possible - note the time, place, description of events, for vehicles include make, model, registration.
Police advice is to use the Brockwell Live resident line 020 3886 3576 where possible to ensure that incidents and concerns are recorded not lost as in previous years.
There will be Safe Havens set up inside the walls of the event and the police will have the ability to take people to these areas even if they have left the event, where appropriate (guided by officers).
There will also be a police tent located along from Brixton Water Lane entrance near the approach to the North gate entrance to the event. This will be in place from midday and taken down 2 hours prior to the end of the event. Please come and say hi.
All local pubs should be operating the Ask Angela scheme. Full Safe Havens further from the venue include: Railway Tavern (Tulse Hill), Badger Badge (West Norwood), West Norwood Library and Picture House and West Norwood Leisure Centre.
The West Dulwich SNT ( WestDulwich@met.police.uk ) are on shift during the events and will be covering streets further from the venue in co-operation the police events team. | ||
