Hello Beckton,
Below are highlights of reported crimes from your E6 streets this week.
While there was a robbery in the park and a small number of opportunistic thefts, many of the incidents reported this week appear to have stemmed from disputes escalating, with individuals acting aggressively or losing their temper in the moment.
Assault 15/05/2026 – A fight broke out at a House in Multiple Occupation on Eastbury Road. One male sustained scratches to the face. A suspect was arrested. 18/05/2026 – A family in Mahindra Way reported that an abusive and aggressive neighbour made threats to stab them.
Criminal Damage 18/05/2026 – (Attempted) A group of young children were reported knocking on a door and throwing rocks at a property in Windsor Terrace. 15/05/2026 – Four tyres on a vehicle were slashed in Atlantis Avenue. There was no CCTV and no witnesses.
Indecent Exposure 14/05/2026 – A male was seen urinating in Beckton Park.
Hate Crime 14/05/2026 – An argument escalated into racial abuse, with one individual being called a “Gypsy”. 14/05/2026 – A neighbour dispute resulted in one party shouting, “Go back to your own country.”
Possession of a Weapon 18/05/2026 – An argument between a driver and a pedestrian in the ASDA car park escalated, with the driver producing a knife. Police attended, ASDA security secured CCTV footage, and the driver was arrested.
Theft 15/05/2026 – Numerous items were reported stolen from a back garden in Moncrieff Close. 15/05/2026 – Garden slabs were stolen from a residential property in Savage Gardens. 17/05/2026 – A shopper placed their phone down while paying at the ASDA self-checkout. When they turned back, the phone had been taken.
Robbery 16/05/2026 – A victim was approached by two male suspects in Beckton Park, who threatened him and forced him to hand over his watch.
