Hayes Town SNT Community Engagement & Enforcement Update |
||
|
Hayes Town Safer Neighbourhood Team officers have been actively engaging with local residents and community groups across the ward. Most recently, officers attended the West London Somali Centre, where they met with centre managers and David Brough to discuss future engagement opportunities, strengthening community relationships, and breaking down barriers between police and the community.
Officers have continued high-visibility patrols across the ward, addressing local concerns and providing reassurance to residents and businesses. We are also working in partnership with Asif Akram from Hillingdon Council to tackle environmental issues, including a zero-tolerance approach to fly-tipping. Under the Environmental Act, the council has the power to issue £1000 fixed penalty notices to offenders, and enforcement activity is ongoing.
In addition, officers have been engaging with individuals experiencing homelessness within the ward, offering support and signposting to relevant agencies, including ARCH and other outreach services, to help address their needs and provide longer-term assistance.
If you see us out and about, please feel free to speak with your local officers. You can also stay updated by signing up to Met Engage.
