Hello all, Apologies, it’s been a couple of weeks since my last update due to an increase in demand. I just wanted to share with you some of the work I’ve been involved in, as I know that not everyone can always make it to my police surgeries. As always, my inbox is open to anyone who wants to get in touch, be that by email or here on My Community Voice. My last surgery at Manston was successful, it was good to meet with councillors and members of the public to discuss issues and share information. My next surgery is on Friday 29th May 2026 from 10:00-11:00 in Ramsgate Town Centre (I typically choose one rural location and one Ramsgate location a month to try and appeal to as many people as possible), I hope to see you there. Since my last update on 06/05, I have been doing the following: Today (20/05/26) I have been carrying out patrols in the rural areas of my wards. I have completed checks on machinery to ensure it was not stolen, and whilst doing so noted a vehicle of interest nearby. This was stopped and a male was subsequently arrested by me for domestic offences.Road Safety always features heavily in residents’ feedback, and I have been taking robust action to combat those who pose a danger on our roads. I have conducted stop searches on two separate vehicles, with both leading to drugs seizures. As a result, I have arrested two males on suspicion of drug driving and other offences, and will be pursuing charges for these where possible.Residents have highlighted some locations of concern which I have visited to carry out high visibility patrols. These concerns ranged from parking issues to anti-social behaviour to drug use and areas visited included Monkton, Minster, and St. Nicholas-at-Wade. I have been supporting my colleagues in responding to 999 incidents across the Isle, attending around 25 calls for service since my last update. This has led to two persons being arrested by me for serious offences which remain under investigation. I have also attended a call for a poaching incident which was attended promptly along with my colleagues. Thank you to the member of the public who called this in, these sorts of incidents will always be taken seriously and I’d urge anyone who sees people they suspect to be hare coursing or poaching to report this on 999.Whilst on foot patrol, I came across a female wanted for a shoplifting. She was arrested and remanded to court. I have carried out several other stop searches whilst out on the beat, and issued an out of court resolution for a minor drugs offence.Warm regards,
