Local Priorities Nuisance motorcycles Message

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Nuisance motorcycles, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

There have been numerous reports of dangerous and nuisance use of a moped within the area of Hythe. Acting on information from members of the public I have today located the vehicle and issued a section 59 warning. This means that if within a year, the rider or anyone using the moped is witnessed riding without due care and attention and causing an annoyance or distress, then this vehicle will be seized. This can work alongside any other reports that may be issued, such as driving without due care and attention.

Please continue to report any nuisance, anti-social or dangerous use of motor vehicles to Kent Police so that we can help keep Hythe a safe place to live.
