The St Albans Central, North and West neighbourhood priorities were agreed yesterday following consultation with you and analysis of data. These are the issues that will receive more focus over the next four months from your dedicated team of neighbourhood officers and PCSOs in St Albans. The new neighbourhood priorities for St Albans Central, North and West are: You said: Crime and anti-social behaviour in the Sopwell ward, specifically Cottonmill and the St Albans Retail Park. You said: Illegal and anti-social use of e-scooters and e-bikes. You previously said: Crime and ASB in the Batchwood Ward (specifically Oysterfields, the hospital and High Oaks). We did: You previously said: Drug-related crime and ASB in St Peter’s Ward (focusing on Charrington Place, streets around St Albans City train station & the city centre). We did: Residents will see their dedicated team of PCs and PCSOs working alongside partners to tackle the following issues, through an increased police presence, engagement events and targeted enforcement: Whilst there will be a focus on the local priorities, officers will continue to respond to daily business as usual, as well as forcewide priorities and any emerging issues which require more immediate action. Alongside the NPT, St Albans is also policed by officers who respond to emergency calls, a team of detectives who investigate crimes such as burglary, robbery and assault, and specialist units who work to tackle issues such as acquisitive crime and domestic abuse. In addition, they can call on officers from central teams which work countywide. You can keep up to date with work around the priorities by following us on social media and via the ‘Your Area’ section of the Herts police website. | ||
