Dear residents, Today, officers from the local neighbourhood policing team conducted a speed gun operation across three locations in Pimlico South: Grosvenor Road, Churchill Gardens Road, and Turpentine Lane.
During the operation, officers also engaged with cyclists regarding road safety, including the dangers of cycling through red traffic lights and riding on footways.
A number of speeding vehicles were identified during the operation. Officers recorded the VRMs (vehicle registration marks) of offending vehicles and will be dealing with these matters accordingly, whilst also educating drivers on the dangers and consequences of speeding.
We were also pleased to be joined by Councillor Jason Williams during the operation.
We would like to remind all road users to travel safely and responsibly to help keep our community safe. Further operations will continue to take place across the area, where enforcement action and fixed penalty notices may be issued to those cycling through red lights or cycling on the pavement/footway.
Thank you for your continued support. Your sincerely, PCSO Noonan
