Dear NHM users,
West Mercia Police is once again joining forces across the country to take part in a national anti-knife crime initiative.
Monday 18 May saw the start of Sceptre, a national week of action aimed at reducing knife crime.
The week, which takes place twice a year, gives an opportunity to highlight the work police and partners do all year round to tackle knife crime.
Knife crime is relatively low in our local areas, but we know the devastating consequences it can have. We are committed to reducing knife crime and this is why we work together with our communities to help protect them from harm.
During the week your local Safer Neighbourhoods Teams will be completing additional activities around this initiative, with visible patrols, educational talks, engagement and reassurance some of the activities planned.
