Dear Residents, We are aware of the recent increase in motorbike thefts and associated anti-social behaviour affecting the local area. Officers are proactively patrolling the area, targeting known hotspot locations, and following up intelligence and lines of enquiry relating to potential offenders. We understand the impact these incidents are having on the community and want to reassure residents that this issue is being actively addressed. We are asking motorbike owners to take extra precautions to reduce opportunities for theft. Crime prevention advice includes: • Use quality disc locks, chains, or ground anchors wherever possible We also encourage residents to report any suspicious behaviour, nuisance riding, or anti-social behaviour involving motorcycles. Information provided by the community is extremely valuable in helping officers identify offenders, build intelligence, and direct patrols effectively. When reporting incidents, please try to provide: • Dates and times of incidents Incidents and information can be reported via 101 or through the police online reporting system. If a crime is in progress or there is an immediate risk to public safety, please call 999.
