This morning we have received several reports of attempt burglaries of residential homes and garages which took place overnight in the Llantarnam and Fairwater areas. Protect yourselves and your homes by ensuring the following: Front doors, windows, and any garages are secured and locked at all times through the evening, night and when you aren't at home. Always keep valuables like tablets and laptops out of sight from windows.Keep ring doorbell and CCTV systems charged and activated.Keep ladders and tools stored away; don’t leave them outside where they could be used to break into your home.At the front of your property, install security lighting operated by a daylight sensorDon’t make a burglar’s job easier by leaving gardening tools lying around as these are often used to force entry into home
Residents are encouraged to check any ring doorbell / CCTV footage and report any suspicious activity via 101 Enquiries are being conducted in the areas today.
