|
Police are appealing for information and witnesses after the recovery of a stolen digger in Stanstead Abbotts. Following initial enquiries, it is believed that the digger was moved from its original location on Roydon Road, at around 9.20pm on Saturday 9 May. The digger, which was reported stolen to police on Monday 11 May, was located near to Farnham Road on Tuesday 12 May, but officers are hoping the public can assist with its whereabouts between the time it was taken and the time it was found. PC Dean Watson from the Ware Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have been driving in the area surrounding the A414 between Harlow and the slip road near to Roydon Road who may have spotted the digger and compressor being transported, to contact police. “Any information or dash cam footage could assist out ongoing enquiries into the theft. “Information can be sent to me by emailing me via dean.watson@herts.police.uk.” You can also report information online, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting 41/43441/26. Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form.
