KNIFE CRIME WEEK | The below image shows what was handed to an officer this morning during a knife anmesty session. This is part of Operation Sceptre which is a national campaign aimed at keeping knives off the streets.
Please see the below dates and times for more amnesty sessions being held this week.
THURSDAY 21ST May -Knife Anmesty -The Welcome Cafe -21/05/2026 -11:30-12:30
FRIDAY 22ND MAY -Knife Anmesty -Plumley Garden Centre -22/05/2026 -12:00-13:00
SAT 23RD MAY -Knife Anmesty -Fryers Garden Centre -23/05/2026 -15:30-16:30 & -Knife Anmesty -Knutsford Leisure Centre -23/05/2026 -17:00-18:00
Information about knife amnesty- The amnesty gives members of the public the chance to dispose of a knife anonymously with no questions asked, by simply depositing it into the amnesty bin with the support of officers. Those surrendering knives are not required to give any personal details.
