Good News from Woolwich Dockyard Ward
This week has been another fantastic example of proactive, community-driven policing in Woolwich Dockyard Ward, with officers delivering strong results in tackling drug-related activity and antisocial behaviour.
Targeted patrols making a difference Key results this week include:
Monday: Multiple Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act stops. One stop led to a brief foot chase, with PC Bharke quickly detaining a suspect and the individual being arrested on a recall to prison
On the Thames Path by Antelope Road, community intelligence directly led to a significant arrest for possession with intent to supply. This is a major step forward and is expected to help reduce drug-related ASB in the area. We continue to patrol to deter offenders. Later in the week, continued proactive stops resulted in another arrest on recall to prison.
Community engagement continues Coming up – Bike Marking Event at the Clockhouse Community Centre on Saturday 27th June. Residents are encouraged to attend and get their bikes property marked for extra security, a simple step that can make a big difference.
A big thank you to our community If you see anything which concerns you, please continue to get in touch. Your voice helps us patrol more effectively and take action against those responsible for crime and anti-social behaviour in our community.
