Crime updates for Shirley East

We've charged a suspected car thief with more than 30 offences in Solihull after he was arrested earlier this week.

The man in his 40s was arrested on Thursday 14th May 2026 at a property in Highfields Road, Birmingham on suspicion of interfering with a vehicle on on Piece Avenue Solihull.

Darren Sullivan aged 48, has been charged with 33 offences including theft of a vehicle. Sullivan appeared at Birmingham magistrates court and has been remanded in custody and will appear again in court on 21st May.

Once again can I ask to report suspicious behaviour via 101 stating if you have good quality CCTV.

I am happy to say, I collect excellent CCTV of this offender who was ‘ caught in the act’ without covering his face.
