Good evening Squirrels Heath ward residents,
Today we received a call from a member of the public in regards to a knife being found in Haynes Park. We have recovered this knife and it has been booked in to the police station. This is another knife being taken off the streets of London. I have attached a photo of the knife at the bottom of this message.
This coming week is also knife crime awareness week. We will be taking part in multiple weapon sweeps across the ward as well as taking part in other knife related operations. While the police will be increasing activity to investigate and deter crime in our neighbourhoods, you can play a vital part in keeping our streets safe. If you have a knife you shouldn’t have, or know of one that needs to be removed, please use one of the many amnesty bins located across London. It’s a safe, anonymous way to make a difference.
