Belmont Ward weekly Met Engage update

The Belmont Safer Neighbourhood Team have been busy this week, though thankfully there hasn't been too much crime happening on the ward.

On Friday PCSO Walker came across a Honda 125cc scooter that had been lost or stolen since the 26th March 2026. Checks were done and we were able to contact the registered keeper, who came down with his father to collect the bike and load it in the back of his car. Both were very grateful and relieved to get the bike back.

Saturday saw The Avenue Primary Academy school fair, which was attended by 100's of parents and children. PCSO Walker and PC Lang attended the event with a few bags of police uniform for the children to try on, along with “We Met The Met stickers”, which always go down well. Everyone had a good time and it was great to meet everyone, and to encourage the children to see the friendly face of policing, to make us more approachable.
