Ward Sergeant's Update

This week, the team has been actively supporting other units, providing officers to the emergency response team, who handle the 999 calls and contributing valuable intelligence to the proactive unit about a known drugs address. The intelligence provided by my officers enabled the proactive unit to safely enter the address, resulting in the arrest of five individuals for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, as well as possession of offensive weapons.

We have also been engaging with local businesses to better understand their concerns.  Through these conversations, it is clear just how hard the staff work each day.  The incidents and offences reported not only impact profits, but also affect livelihoods, staff wages and the overall experience for customers and staff.  This is simply not acceptable and we will be taking action to address these issues.
