Off Road Dirt Bikes.

Dear Residents,

We have been informed that at least 3 young males have been riding off road dirt bikes along the bridleways and fields of Hanwood , this is causing a great deal of upset and danger to local residents , farmers, dog walkers and livestock . 

One farmer writes 

“ Would it be possible, for the lads riding their motorbikes above Hanwood on a freshly drilled Maize field to stop please. A lot of time and effort goes in planting the crop and its soul destroying to see this happening ”

Officers will be looking to carry out a Section 59 of the Police Reform Act as these males with these bikes are causing Ante Social Behaviour, driving in a careless and inconsiderate manner causing a great deal of alarm .

Police will seize these vehicles to prevent any further danger to the riders or others .
