I wanted to provide an update regarding Violence against women and girls, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

The Hammersmith Broadway Safer Neighbourhoods Team hosts targeted community events to address local safety with an increasing operational focus on Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). On Wednesday,20 may 2026, local ward officers and Police Community Support Officers -such as PCSO Margarita-prioritise direct engagement with residents to raise awareness, distribute safety resources and listen to community concerns.

 We are working on our brand-new strategy for how we police London and we want your help. Our New Met for London: Phase 2 strategy will guide how we deliver on behalf of Londoners over the next three years.
