Surface dressing

Good afternoon, 

A number of roads in our area have been subject to surface dressing by East Riding Council Highways (and their contractors) in recent weeks. The nature of this kind of resurfacing is that bitumen is laid and gravel placed on top of it. The road surface is then hoovered to remove excess and it is expected that the remainder is compacted into place by traffic.

Please adhere to this limit in order to maximise safety and prevent damage. If this means setting off on your journey a little earlier then please do so.
