Subject: 🚲 Free Bike Marking Event – Protect Your Bike (10th July)

Your local Safer Neighbourhood Team will be hosting a free Bike Marking event to help you protect your bicycle and reduce the risk of theft.

Bike marking is a simple and effective way to deter thieves and increase the chances of your bike being returned if it is stolen.

Location: Sainsbury’s Car Park, Wreakes Lane, Dronfield
Date: Friday 10th July 2026
Time: 10:00am – 11:30am

✅ Makes your bike less attractive to thieves

✅ Helps police identify and return stolen bikes

✅ Links your bike to you securely

✅ Provides peace of mind when out and about

Always lock your bike with a good quality lock (ideally a D-lock)

Secure both the frame and wheels to an immovable object

Remove accessories (lights, pumps) when leaving your bike unattended

Keep a record of your bike’s make, model, and frame number

👉 No need to book — just bring your bike along and speak with your local officer.

We’re here to support you and help keep Dronfield a safe place for cyclists and the whole community.
