Shoplifting Update – Canterbury City Centre

Over the past several days I have dealt with multiple shoplifting incidents within Canterbury city centre, focusing on known repeat offenders.

High-visibility patrols and proactive engagement with retailers resulted in the identification of suspects, with arrests made on both days and further positive action taken.

Shoplifting remains ongoing, largely linked to a small group of prolific offenders targeting alcohol, food, and cosmetics. Continued engagement with businesses and targeted patrols are contributing to effective disruption and reassurance in the city centre.
