Community Report Leads to Arrest

On 12 May 2026, officers attempted to stop a moped on Lower Rainham Road. The rider made off from Police failing to stop and out of sight. Thanks to a helpful report from a member of the public about some males acting suspiciously with a moped in nearby fields, officers were quickly able to return to the area. PC Snell and colleagues located the male with the moped who decided to run off upon seeing officers. After a short foot chase through nearby fields, he was safely detained and arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle. PC SNELL seized the moped as it was suspected to be stolen.
