Knife Crime Awareness Week |

Knife Crime Awareness Week – Message to Hoe Street WardResidents of Hoe Street Ward, Monday 18th May marks the start of Knife Crime Awareness Week, led by the Ben Kinsella Trust. This week serves as a stark reminder that knife crime continues to pose a serious and immediate threat to our communities. The consequences are life-changing—serious injury, loss of life, and families left dealing with irreversible harm. We want to be clear: knife crime is preventable, but only if we act together. If you have a knife you should not be in possession of, or know of one that poses a risk, we strongly urge you to dispose of it safely using an amnesty bin. Every weapon removed is a potential life saved. Together, we can make Hoe Street safer.
