Community Fraud Prevention Presentation |
||
|
Yesterday, officers from our local Neighbourhood Policing and Prevention Team (NPPT) attended Bwlch-Y-Groes Community Hall to deliver an informative and engaging presentation on recognising, preventing, and reporting common online frauds and scams.
The session covered a range of topics including phishing emails, scam phone calls, fake online marketplaces, romance fraud, banking scams, and ways criminals attempt to obtain personal or financial information. Officers also provided practical advice on how to stay safe online, protect personal accounts and devices, and what steps to take if you believe you may have been targeted by fraudsters.
Community engagement and education remain an important part of preventing fraud and protecting vulnerable members of our communities.
If you are part of a community group, club, organisation, or local association that would be interested in receiving this presentation, please do not hesitate to contact us. We would be happy to arrange a visit and help provide advice and guidance on staying safe online.
