Dear All,

Residents are being warned to remain vigilant following reports of cold callers and rogue traders operating in the area, offering roofing and property repair services.

A company has reportedly been going door-to-door claiming urgent roof repairs are needed. Please be cautious of anyone arriving uninvited and pressuring residents into agreeing to work or making immediate payments.

Wiltshire Police are also promoting “No Cold Calling” stickers and general crime prevention advice for residents.

✅ Always:

• Ask for ID and company details

• Get written quotes from trusted local traders

• Take time before agreeing to any work

• Check reviews and recommendations independently

• Contact family, neighbours, or friends if unsure

❌ Never:

• Feel pressured into making quick decisions

• Pay cash upfront

• Allow unexpected callers onto your roof without verification
