Vehicle Crime

Good evening,

We are working hard to tackle vehicle crime in the Manselton/Brynhyfryd area.

We want to make you aware of three incidents in the last week whereby insecure vehicles have been targeted by an unknown opportunist. 

The following reports of theft from vehicles have been received; 

08/05/2026 between 06.15-07.00am- CLARE STREET MANSELTON

10/05/2026 between 01.50-02.10am- PWLL Y DOMEN ROAD MANSELTON

12/05/2026 approximately 02.00am- SYDNEY STREET BRYNHYFRYD

We are conducting door to door enquires. CCTV footage is also being downloaded and to be reviewed.

We will be carrying out hot spot patrols in the area and encourage all residents to report any suspicious activity. Please ensure your vehicle is locked and secure at all times. 

Your mobile phone, coins for the car park, sunglasses, packs of medication or other items that can earn quick cash are irresistible to the opportunist thief. Remember, the cost of replacing a window is often much more than that of what’s stolen. And it should go without saying that wallets, handbags, purses and credit cards should never be left in an unattended vehicle.
