Empowering Communities in Medway |
||
|
Good afternoon,
I wanted to share a quick overview of an exciting new “test and learn” opportunity as part of the Empowering Communities project, hosted by Medway Voluntary Action.
The aim of this project is to explore how a Community Power & Self-Organisation (CPSOS) approach can support residents, businesses and organisations in Wayfield to design and shape their own local activities and ideas. Rather than traditional engagement, this approach is about putting communities in the lead—supporting you to take ownership and develop ideas that are truly community-led.
We’ll be running a small programme of facilitated sessions with local residents and partners from Wayfield. These sessions will use participatory and interactive methods such as open discussions, idea generation, and co-design activities to: Participants will include residents and local stakeholders, with a strong emphasis on equal voice and valuing lived experience. If you have a voice that you want to be heard, this is a great opportunity to get involved, share your ideas, and help shape something meaningful in your community.
Session dates: Please note that you will be required to attend all 4 sessions Time’s of the session dates: 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM Location: St Paul With All Saints Church Chatham, Magpie Hall Road, Chatham, ME4 5NE Lunch will be provided at each session (Please do let Olivia know your dietary requirements)
What we’re aiming to learn: Key outcome: This is a learning pilot designed to inform a longer-term programme, while also creating immediate, positive impact locally. If you’re interested in taking part or would like more information, please get in touch with Olivia.
