Westcotes Beat Weekly Update

This week, officers from the Westcotes Beat have been busy tackling crime, safeguarding vulnerable people, and supporting the local community through proactive policing and engagement.

A significant discovery was made after officers uncovered a cannabis grow operation within the beat area. 

Officers also responded swiftly to a reported break-in, carrying out immediate enquiries and providing reassurance to residents affected by the incident. High-visibility patrols continue in the area as part of efforts to deter further offences.

Safeguarding remained a key priority this week, with officers supporting and protecting a vulnerable person to ensure they received the appropriate care and assistance.

Our team also attended neighbourhood policing training at Force Headquarters (FHQ), enhancing skills and sharing best practice to further strengthen the service we provide to the community.

Community engagement continued with bike registering events, helping residents protect their property and reduce the risk of cycle theft across the area.

In addition, officers have been addressing ongoing concerns around fly tipping.
