Theft of Vehicle - Stanmore Place

🚨 Community Alert – Vehicle Theft 🚨

Between Monday 11th May at approx. 1215hrs and 13000rs, an unknown suspect or suspects have stolen a vehicle which was parked, locked, and secure on the roadside.

Entry and removal were achieved by unknown means, however, it is believed offenders may have used electronic scanning or relay equipment to gain access.

🔒 Crime Prevention Advice

Incidents of this nature are often linked to keyless vehicle theft (relay crime). To help protect your vehicle, please consider the following:

Store vehicle keys and spare keys away from doors and windows.

Use a Faraday pouch or signal-blocking box to prevent keyless signal theft.

Switch off keyless entry in your vehicle settings (if possible).

Use additional physical security, such as a steering wheel lock or pedal lock.

Park in well-lit and overlooked areas, or ideally in a locked garage.

Install CCTV or a video doorbell covering parking areas.

Check for unusual individuals or vehicles loitering near parked cars.

Keep software updated if your vehicle supports security updates.

Consider installing a tracker or immobiliser for added protection.

Witnessed anything suspicious in the area, or

Have CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage that may assist

please report this to the police quoting the relevant incident or crime reference number.
