Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Southfield Lane Between Monday 11th May 23:30hrs and Tuesday 12th May 01:15hrs

Suspect(s) forced entry by snapping a front door lock and carried out an untidy search before leaving via the same door. No one was seen or heard. 

Please stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between (please add times if known) to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
