Inconsiderate Parking, Hollinswood.

Dear residents/ public.

The Nedge Safer Neighbourhood Team are advising drivers to think carefully about where they are parking. We are seeing an increase in inappropriate parking, particularly in the Hollinswood area. 

Deliberately blocking access to residents garages may result in police involvement and could lead to enforcement action where offences are identified. We would strongly advise anyone thinking of doing this to reconsider their actions before causing unnecessary conflict and distress within the community.

During patrols of Delbury Court, Hollinswood this afternoon, the 10th of May, PCSO Ellis and PCSO Stubley were flagged down by a resident who had been prevented from getting his car out of his garage due to a car that had been inconsiderately parked by his garage. This caused significant stress and the resident was late for an event. 

Please always show respect for your neighbours and park responsibly. If you witness ongoing issues, report them through the appropriate channels rather than taking matters into your own hands.

Thankfully for the driver of this vehicle, they returned just in the nick of time before recovery arrived… another couple of minutes and they’d have been waving goodbye to it on the back of a truck. 🚛👋
