I wanted to provide you an update regarding Personal theft (e.g. pick pocketing, no violence used), which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey. Good Morning Beam Park Residents, On 08/05/2026, in Gisbourne Gardens, an incident occurred in which an unknown suspect(s) stole a parcel from a victim’s porch. The porch had been left unsecured. The parcel was delivered at approximately 11:00 hrs and was discovered missing when the victim returned home at 13:00 hrs. This incident highlights the importance of taking simple precautions to prevent parcel theft. We encourage residents to consider the following measures:
Arrange for deliveries to be sent to a trusted neighbour, friend, or family member if you are not at home. Make use of local parcel lockers or collection points, where available. Ensure porches, front doors, and external storage areas are kept secure at all times. Consider installing a doorbell camera or CCTV system to deter opportunistic offenders.
If you witness any suspicious activity or experience a similar incident, please report it promptly so appropriate action can be taken. By remaining vigilant and taking these preventative steps, we can work together to reduce opportunities for theft within our community. If you have any further information please call 101 and provide crime number 01/7494766/26
Thanks your local Officers
