Officers from the Seven Kings and Chadwell Neighbourhood Teams have delivered a positive result following targeted patrols at Grove Farm Retail Park in response to a recent increase in shoplifting offences.

Acting on intelligence and community concerns, the team implemented a proactive policing approach, including high-visibility patrols supported by a coordinated plain clothes operation. This targeted activity aimed to both deter offending and identify those responsible for repeat thefts impacting local businesses.

During the operation, officers successfully identified and monitored suspicious behaviour, leading to the arrest of two individuals for shoplifting offences. The swift and professional actions of the officers involved prevented further loss to retailers and demonstrated a clear commitment to tackling acquisitive crime in the area.
