Vehicle nuisance

Dear resident

Shortly after 17:30 tonight we received a call from a local resident reporting that a vehicle was being driven at speed around the Gellfield lane area of Uppermill.

Within minutes Pcso 62068 Lowther attended the area and came across the vehicle along with 3 young males who immediately ran off into nearby fields.

After a short distance 2 of the males hid in undergrowth and were located by Pcso Lowther.

On the arrival of other officers, the males were dealt with and the vehicle seized.

The third male made good his escape but has since been identified for further investigation.
