Rogue Traders

Good morning Residents,

Please be aware that rogue traders are currently targeting elderly and vulnerable residents in the Southborough and High Brooms areas.

The following roads have been targeted within the last week:

In these incidents, three unknown males attended addresses and falsely claimed there was a hole in the roof or damaged tiles. They initially offered to complete minor repairs for a small fee.

Once access to the roof was gained, the suspects deliberately caused damage, including removing tiles and tearing roof felt. They then demanded £5,000 for further repairs and became verbally aggressive when payment was refused.

Please look out for your neighbours, particularly those who may be more vulnerable.
