Community Update: Resolution of Noise Nuisance at Haddo House, NW5 |
||
|
Dear Highgate Residents,
We would like to provide an update regarding an issue that has been affecting the Haddo House area (NW5).
Over recent months, there have been significant concerns surrounding anti-social behaviour (ASB), specifically persistent noise nuisance originating from a property. This disturbance has been heard from a considerable distance and has understandably caused distress and concern among members of the community, including vulnerable residents.
The Highgate Safer Neighbourhood Team—PC Amado, PC Hammer-Bailey, and PCSO Demircan—has been working diligently and proactively to tackle this issue. Our efforts have been consistent and thorough, and we have adhered to all relevant ASB procedures and stages to ensure a fair, robust, and lawful outcome.
In line with the ASB enforcement framework, we have followed a structured escalation process. This has included the issuing of an initial ASB verbal warning, followed by a formal ASB Warning Letter when the behaviour persisted. As the conduct continued, we escalated the matter further by serving a Community Protection Warning (CPW), clearly outlining the behaviour causing concern and the consequences of non-compliance.
Today, we can confirm that, following the execution of a Section 135 Mental Health Act warrant, the individual has been safely removed from the address. This marks a positive step in resolving the issue.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all residents for your patience, cooperation, and support throughout this process. We are especially grateful to those who took the time to provide statements, which were invaluable in helping us take appropriate action.
Should you have any further concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Kind regards,
