David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, is asking for your views on the next generation of Police and Fire stations serving your community and keeping you safe.

We want to make sure our local emergency services are sustainable for the future and meet the needs of our communities and staff. That means making informed decisions about how we use public money and our buildings. 

Currently the two emergency services operate from separate stations in Malton and both buildings are no longer fit for purpose. 

We are seeking your views on whether to move forward with specialist survey work to explore the potential to build a new, joint Police and Fire station in Malton. No decisions have been made yet, and we welcome responses from anyone who lives or works in York and North Yorkshire.
