Hello Beckton
Welcome to your weekly crime update
It seems the rise in temperatures have also brought about a rise in tempers across Beckton this week. We've seen several minor disputes escalate quickly into physical altercations, I’m sure the full moon played its part, too. Please read on to see what’s been happening and where.
Public Order/ Road Rage 04/05/2026 - A fight broke out between two people at the Trampoline Park in Alpine Way. The argument was over a discount price and shoes. 01/05/2026 – A fight broke between teenage girls in Beckton Park. Roller skating turned to name calling which progressed to pushing and scratching. 01/05/2026 – At McDonalds Drive Thru - One driver honked their horn as another was blocking the exit. Things escalated quickly and resulted in an assault. 04/05/2026 – Outside Iceland at Beckton Retail Park. - A dispute over a parking space resulted in an assault. 03/05/2026 – Near Sainsbury’s. One car got to close to another and tapped the bumper. The driver took offence to this, got out his car and kicked the wing mirror off the other vehicle. 04/05/2026 – A TFL customer service advisor at Beckton Bus Garage agreed to buy a homeless man some food. That Homeless man then accused our good Samaritan of stealing all his drugs. The Homeless man pushed him over and made off on a pedal cycle.
Robbery (Attempted) 03/05/2026 – A group of three males have approached a lone teenager at Will Thorne Pavillion and demanded his phone. The Victim said ”No” and was subsequently put in a headlock and hit. The Victim shouted “Police” and all three males ran away.
Dog out of Control 02/05/2026 - Whilst a lady was out walking her dog, Another dog has ran towards her and has grabbed the back of her coat twice in an attempt to get to her dog.

The two suspects have escorted the victim to the cash machine, taken his card and used it to withdraw money. 04/05/2026 – A cycle enabled phone snatch outside Asda 06/05/2026 – A distraction theft at the ASDA cash machines
Theft of a vehicle (Attempted) 04/05/2026 – A grey Lexus was cut into with an angle grinder outside B&Q. It appears that the would-be thieves were trying to remove the tracker before taking the car.
That’s it for this week. We are actively out and about hunting for robbers and searching for snatchers. Until next week, keep your phones in pockets and guard your PIN numbers at cash machines
