Thank you Hawkchurch

Yesterday, officers from the AXMINSTER NEIGHBOURHOOD BEAT TEAM carried out foot patrol in HAWKCHURCH, one of the more rural parts of our beat. We spent time speaking to residents about their concerns and also called in at the primary school.

After speaking with residents and some parish councillors, it is clear that the speed of vehicles travelling through the village is of concern. To tackle this we will return to HAWKCHURCH in a few weeks time to carry out a speed monitoring operation, the results of the operation will be fed back to the parish council.

While visiting the village we were invited on a tour of the ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH and had the pleasure of being shown the bell tower and looking out over the village and beyond from the top of the tower - thank you JEAN for showing us around.
